Thrift Stores

St. Vincent de Paul stores can be found nationwide. They are a major source of income for the local SVDP conferences. This income is used by Vincentians to help fund all of our charitable activities, such as paying for food, heating, rent, pharmaceuticals, medicines, and other needs for the poor in their area.

There are two SVDP thrift stores in the Huntsville area:

Huntsville - 2140 Jonathan Dr.

Tuesday - Saturday 9 AM - 4 PM

Florence - 659 S. Poplar St.

Monday 10 AM - 2 PM
Tuesday 10 AM - 4 PM
Wednesday 10 AM - 2 PM
Thursday 10 AM - 4 PM
Friday 10 AM - 2 PM

Our stores need your donations in order to be successful. Donations of clothing, furniture, and other household items can be brought to the store. Please bring them to the back door of the building.

Pickup of donations from your home can also be arranged. Please call the store and a pickup date and time can be arranged.

Luke 6: 32-37

Be merciful, just as also your Father is merciful. Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven.

God makes use of the humblest instruments for the extraordinary operation of his grace.

If God's love is fire,

then zeal is its flame;

If God's love is the sun,

zeal is its ray.

Zeal is the purest element in loving God.

Always, the hand of God is outstretched for those who wish to clasp it.

A Sister will go and visit the poor ten times a day, and ten times a day she will find God there.

We must strive to soften our hearts and make them sensitive to the sufferings and worries of our neighbor, and beg God to grant us a genuine spirit of mercy which is the spirit characteristic of God.
